Does it have 5 more circuits than a regular QJet, like that Edelbrock thing?

Some parts exist for no real reason other than because there are people out there with too much money who will buy them.

Working on one now , so I will let you know how it turns out. I do know they are made in China . The casting and machining looks very good but Its' the details that matter. So far I have it all apart to measure every thing. Already I can say there are some details to be rectified. I have been pretty busy so it may take a few days.

Are thy still a Zinc casting? Wonder why the flow rating is so much less? Thanks for taking the time to look at it.

Change in air flow could be because of change in fully open position of air valve &/or sec t/blades.

Aluminum casting . I,m already getting frustrated by the repairs needed to even test this carburetor, and I am not talking about jetting/air bleeds.

This is the 80’s single main air bleed version of the Quadrajet casting with the rear vacuum pull off. Rebuild kit would be SMP 1633 ( Standard Motor Products )

74 main jet / .044J Primary Rod / .0570 Secondary Rod / J hanger

Problems found.

Float level was .644”
No springs on primary rods
APT adjusted to 1/2 turn from bottomed
Air door was sticking ---- fixed
Idle bypass air not drilled in main body ---- fixed
Electric choke sticking in housing ----- fixed with bushing
Main body has an interference problem with baseplate -- Requires machining ----- fixed
Secondary disc for secondary metering rods ( in main body ) – one of them is not formed correctly
Secondary air valve spring tension was 1.5 turns ------ fixed
Primary blades not opening far enough , Secondary blades opening to far ----- fixed

I will post some picture later.
This will be 800cfm when I’m done.
