Partial throttle tuning help please!

Postby 69BBSS » Sat Aug 07, 2021 3:20 am

Car is a pump gas 10.5:1 565 BBC with a pro systems 1150 Dominator. The problem I’m having is that it wants to go crazy rich in part throttle cruise (10.5-11.5) and at WOT it’s a bit lean at 14.3. Do I need to take some out of the primaries and add to the main jets? Or do I need to mess with the dreaded emulsion tubes? Any help is very very much appreciated. Thank you.

Depending on when it was built it can be 2 or 3 circuit. If it has the Venom 2 blocks it's 2 circuit. And they all need recalibration. Lowered idle feed, emulsion recalibration, t-slot restrictions... Are you up to threading small passages?

Yes. They are the Venom 2 metering blocks and yes, I can thread the passages but they are SO small. Do they need to be larger? Idle feed is 35-8div. I’ve got the build sheet picture but it’s not letting me upload it here because it saids the file is “too large”

That’s what it saids on the build sheet for the idle feed. (Primary and secondary)

div suggests divorced idle, but some I've gone thru don't always match the sheet. Send pictures to jmarkaudio@aol.com. Metering block both sides and spec sheet.
