I've run .128's on 4150's on gas, .140's on Dominators and no issues with creeping floats level. Fuel pressure has to be correct, no more than 6.

Interesting problem, I lost track, do you have standard float bowls & brass floats in it now?
I'd be getting the basic Holley stuff back in there.

Those bottom feed needle and seats need 4-5 pounds of pressure and no more. And I think 4 is better than 5. They just don’t need it. I use them in every pair of TR carbs I do, and any single 4 carb I do that I can convince the owner that the bottom feed are better.

you may want to work on the definition of "carb builder" in this case. possession of screwdrivers does not necessarily imply expertise.
