Booster hole size and how many

I was curious as to what dictates what booster will work best with a particular application. What are the pros and cons of each?

I was doing some reading on how you can have too fine of a droplet size because vaporized fuel takes up more space vs a larger droplet size. It stated that the more vaporized fuel will typically provide better drivablilty and efficiency, May not lend it self to max power.

So it's got me thinking, I have the fine hoke billet boosters in my dominator. I typically run my engine at 180-185. This is because I typically double enter and it is alot easier to maintain that temp when it 90+ degrees out with quick turn around.

So it's got me thinking would I benefit from a larger droplet size because of this.

I think back to my conversations with shrinker back in the day on how critical droplet size was .

It's about getting sufficient atomization/vaporization for the application to distribute and burn the most ideal. Fuel type, engine heat are primarily what to look at. For drag racing I have not found a hole too small as long as the total area can pass enough fuel. It allows a little larger carb to be used, and distributes more evenly. Endurance applications can be different as added engine heat improves vaporization so smaller holes are not as necessary.
