The Holley's were 750's.....I just switched main bodies between annular and downleg with both being the same Holley HP versions. Between the two, the annulars did seem to work the best, however I also spent the most time on them.
The Dambests are 1.58 main bodies w/1.75 base plates. it says they're 994 cfm @20". I suspect it's their higher signal strength that has been the biggest benefit in my case. I was trying to minimize the lean spike at the shift and that's what led me to trying his.....it was a tossup between Dambest or Braswells with 3-4 circuit. As it looks now, I'm pretty happy with the route I went. Don't get me wrong, I'm not obsessed with signal strength alone, but I think the added bleed air it requires would make for finer and lighter fuel droplets.
I have to add that I didn't realize the newer twinblades from Mike Laws were a higher signaling carb also or I may have considered going that route too.
