Some picture . Old casting and new casting that needed a relief machined for gasket to fit properly. Also you can see where I drilled main body of new casting for idle bypass air in below picture.

This is where the the throttle base needed machining so that the new main body would fit properly without an interference. The second picture also shows that the secondary tall link is the style used mostly on truck carbs. I'm pretty sure this is the style of throttle arm used for overdrive transmission.

Notice the extra screws on these new castings. The carb came with extra main jets and air bleeds for tuning.

Thanks for the pics. Wonder why they used the truck arm instead of the shorter car arm. The TV cable arm looks right for OD transmissions, if it measures right.

Couple questions….Does it use bronze bushings in the throttle shaft? It should have had the thicker tipped M type primary rods being it’s a SMAB casting. What size are the Main bleed? Thanks.

Thanks for the pics.
So currently available air horn and throttle base gaskets have to be modified for use on this carb? Too many modifications for my liking on a $699.99 carb with questionable interchangeability.

Why pay $699 when you can buy the same thing direct from the Chinese sellers?
