After looking at some of my notes,I have used as large as .134" for idle bypass air and .040" idle tube with .052" idle down channel on a BBC with camshaft similar to yours.
This is power piston spring I use mostly for performance applications . 7036019 power piston spring, which has a cut-in point about 8-4 inches of vacuum. You can still buy them from Allcarbs . https://allcarbs.com/product/quadrajet- ... on-spring/
