How are the new designed Proform CnC looking Bodies?

Looking for a 825-1000 cfm main body that flows good and signal decent for a Bigblock.

I just read that the newer 850s and 950 cfm carb poor booster signal and can lean out and not the best flowing either. For a Bigblock Street and a little test and tune hopefully. Wish I could find a 825 Barry Grant. Had the 750 and loved it. Just want a little bigger carb thats not a nightmare to tune since it will be on edge of pump gas.

All of the large venturi holley carbs need a minimum of a stepped booster for street use unless you are running a heated intake manifold .
Annular high-gain booster is best.
Once you move to a 1.56 venturi the signal at lower rpm becomes weak. This makes for a less responsive carb on the street, with a loss of torque/hp at lower rpm/airflow.
For a drag car launching at 4500 rpm the down leg booster is acceptable .
The annular booster also helps with fuel distribution.
So for your street application I would not consider any large venturi carb unless it has Annular boosters.

Ok, I got lucky and got a 850 Demon Main body for $20 bucks. Had to add a helicoil but used to that lol. Has down legs and they have the Step. Using Proform 3 emulsion metering blocks with center plugged and two 28 top and bottom. Has a 29 main air bleed and 65 Low side air bleed. Probably go .035 IFR. Does this sound this like a ok start, (What jets would ya start with?) Factory uses alot of jet I think but I know My metering block/emulsion will change that. .029 was for the Mighty demon and 31 was for the race Demon on the Highside. Was told its better to add fuel with jet, but I don't know. Its a Barry Grant Original casting that Holley bought and sold 56Dot. Thanks for any sudgestion, about tired of trading main bodies lol. Its 99 percent street but want it to run best all out. Probably use a 750 when on the street.

I have found the best bang for the buck is to tap the transfer slot in the main body. If you use an 8/32, you only need to tap it. You can leave it open, or Put in a restrictor. I have been using a.068. This is the ticket for the lean cruise down the street, 40mph, 2,000. The AFR is 14

Ok thanks got the tap and 8 set screws, should keep plugs clean, done lowered the IFRs
