Booster size

Booster size

What would be the difference between a 0.140 and 0.160 booster in the same main body 650?

I currently have a 4777 with straight leg 0.140 boosters and an 0-8541 main body with the straight leg 0.160 and can't help but wonder if the smaller diameter booster would better suit a street/strip deal? I would suspect that the smaller diameter would aid it with getting the primary booster to flow sooner.

Has anyone seen a significant difference in booster flow with just a change in the diameter?

I like smaller legs in a straight or DL, the velocity leaving the booster will better suit fuel sheering. .140 is what I would use on a 650

Thanks Mark that's what I thought as well.

Do you know if the emulsion package is different for larger booster diameters as they come form Holley?
