.500 annulars will flow less and signal less than the .600's, but better signal than a downleg. I only used a .500 when the fuel channel was too small with the .600's, usually a boosted app and usually alcohols. I now have some .610's that will handle about 700HP worth of methanol, above that I have a .545 that will cover it. And there are some things you can do to improve that, cutting a channel inside the banjo will add more capability. A stock 4150 annular banjo has little room or strength to cut much, some of the newer billet components will add more.
