Hello all!
Is there any of you folks having jetting specification for a universal Carter AFB 9625S carb in his archives?
Thanks for listening

Interesting.
The original 625 Comp Series AFB had a 0.089" pri jet. Much smaller than the later 9625 emissions carb.
The replacement 625 AVS carbs, which had the same primaries as the AFB, also used a 0.089" pri jet.
I suspect the 9625 had larger MABs [ for emissions? ] which reqd a larger MJ to compensate.

Yup, another peculiarity.
The diameter spread between the power & cruise step on production AFB/AVS carbs is usually much less than the emissions AFBs, which have a greater spread much like the Edel carbs. The Comp Series AFB rods also had a smaller spread. There was at least one AFB that had a 'parallel' rod, cruise & power step the same. Going on memory here, I think the part # was 16-202.
