I have come across a Braswell HP 4150 carb with annular boosters (boosters have a .550 I.D. with 12 holes). It has a 1.59 venturi and a 1 11/16 base plate. I would like to set it up like a 1000cfm Holley # 80514.
Searching through the forums i found some calibrations. What do you guys think of the below calibration?
I am going to install a 1 3/4 base plate. Not sure if i should order throttle plates with a .090 hole or no hole.
.037 ifr
.070 iab
.026 mab
88 main jets with no PV
metering blocks are holley # 34R1535B with .031, .031, .030, .029 emulsion package. I was thinking of blocking #2 and #4 and using either .026 or .028 emulsion package in #1 and #3.
angle channels are .150. And kill bleed is .028
This will be used on a drag race only application. 400 cu. in., 7500rpm, 700hp in a 3000 lb car
Any help or input would be greatly appreciated
Charlie

I just setup a 80514 for a 383 sbc in a 81 malibu bracket only car. Much like you as you have suggested, ended up at 0.032 ifr, 0.026/plugged/0.026 on the emulsion package, 0.026/0.070 on the air bleeds with 86 jets and no pv. Did not check the angle channels. 1-3/4 throttle blades factory drilled hole. Runs great. Pasting time slips last race off the trailer. Based on how well mine ran, I would guess only thing to change would be fine tuning ifr and main jets.

Forgot probably most important thing. Also relocate the ifr to the lower position in the metering block.

The .037 IFR seems pretty big
Maybe .035/.073 .
.033/.070 is what works for my HP1000 with annular boosters 250/260@.050 cam 475bbc but at street/ strip car

.037 IFR will work real good if what you're trying to do is get rid of a big stockpile of spark plugs to clear up some shelf space.

Thank you all for your help. I will run this on the dyno in about a month and let you know how it went.
