Holley 3247 specs

Holley 3247 specs

Postby tbarb » Sun Sep 17, 2023 10:36 pm

Can anyone here give me the calibration specs for the Holley 3247, primary and secondary IFR IAB PVCR air bleeds, jets etc. Trying to help a person on another forum and he stated primary IFR is .058

Thanks very much,

From the numerical listing, 70 PMJ/76 SMJ, 85 PV front & rear, .021 squirter, yellow spring. Of course the .pdf doesn't give the other data, but it doesn't even list the metering block numbers ('not serviced') so someone would be able to possibly track down replacements.

IFR is not .058" . He is not measuring down in correctly.

I know, .058 would make the circuit stupid. If he is not measuring correctly (deep enough) I thought it also could be located up top either in the idle well or the crossover to the idle down well.

I believe this carb was used on a 66 corvette 427/425 and my suggestion to him was to start tuning from the factory calibration hence my question.

I also suggested that he remove the secondary P/V and install a plug then jet up a little but for now we are stuck with the large IFR he measured. I'll tell him to probe deeper to see if there is a smaller hole drilled in the brass IFR.

Any specs for this carb would be a big help.
