Bought this AED baseplate to try out, based on the answer to one of the Q&A by Summit(might of actually been me LOL), turns out it's not what they said so I'm gonna return it. Doesn't have vac ports and yes I could add them but why when I can buy another brand with them already and it cost me nothing. Also noticed a couple other things that I don't like about it so figured I'd share, not anything wrong with it really just stuff I noticed. The shafts aren't machined flat and there is no 2ndary TOP adjustment screw. Nothing major just stuff that comes on other baseplates, so might as well buy one of them.

Bet if you contacted AED directly, they will give you valuable info on what exact part number they make that will suit your purpose. Then you can do an exchange thru Summit? AED is a good company, too bad Summit does not have the tech dept.to get you the right part in the first place.

" The shafts aren't machined flat "
I'm assuming your concern here is airflow. Sometimes called " Slabbed " throttle shafts to reduce the cross sectional area presented by the incoming air. This was a popular move at one time either by Holley or an aftermarket carb company. Not sure if this actually worked. Some tests have been done showing a loss of cfm. Stating. This move introduces corners , increasing the shafts drag coefficient.
Maybe someone else can pipe in here.

Forgot to mention that the AED plate also has no power valve blowout protection.

APD bases have a threaded port in the back, BLP can put a port in back and front if you request. The AED base is made by BLP. You can also request what shafts you want from BLP.
