Stock 283 in a 1966 Chevelle. Automatic trans. Originally a 2 barrel carb. Intake replaced with Edelbrock Air Gap dual plane. Everything else stock. Just street car.
The reason for the 4 barrel intake manifold was too install an aftermarket injection system. Owner chose a Professional Products brand.Ran fine for a while and then started to have trouble and no tech backup. Owner just wants it put back to a carb. Really does not want to put the original 2 barrel back on the 4 barrel intake manifold
I have a Holley and Edelbrock carb i can install to get running better, but they may be too big. Rebuilt Holley 670 Street Avenger or New Edelbrock 1906 650 AVS 2.
Would a 500 CFM carb be better? What would be maybe a bolt on carb?
