QFT metering block changes

Something I thought of interest.

Received a couple of Quickfuel 34-4QFT metering blocks today from Summit. I was under the impression these had all 4 emulsion holes tapped for adjustable bleeds yet they drill the bottom of the blind threads .028” and screwed a plug in #3. This makes for .028” .028” X .028”

What I got is all four threaded holes bottom fully cleared out to the main well and all four having .029” screw in bleeds for .029” .029” .029” .029”. Instructions still talk of drilling out the .028” at the bottom of each hole if you wanted to make emulsion size changes.

Could this be Holley saving money by throwing the same bleeds in that go into Holley XP models?

I’m not overly concerned as I intended to drill out the .028” hole anyway but thought this is an interesting change not noted by then.

Weird. Definitely something changed since the last set I had.

Consider it Holley saving you the time of having to open up all the pre-drilled passages to set 'em where you want them anyways. The QC wasn't consistent enough to trust them, IMO.
