Weird 4150

Trying to figure out what I have . Found an old 4150 dbl pumper with the air horn milled off , so because I was bored , I put it on the car and it ran pig rich and fouled the plugs in several miles ( Ford FE 482 ).
So , pulled it down and measured everything .... and couldn`t find any TS restriction at all . I could put a drill bit in all the way to the vertical drilling .
So here is what the carb has in it :

Main Jet .... 70/80
HSAB .... .031/.031
LSAB ....... ,070/.070
PV ....... 6.5/plugged
PVCR ..... .052/NA
IFR ..... .029/.029 at top
TSR ...... none
Throttle plates .... 1.75"/1.75"
Metering blocks .... E1 IS .028 , E2 IS .038 on Primary ( block # 10562-4 )
E2 is .028 , E2 is .038 on secondary block ( block # 10561-6 )

That`s the weird part .... these appear to be stock Holley metering blocks with just drilled orifices .
The P.O. said it had been set up by the Carb Shop in Ontario CA about 15 years ago .

So , what do I have and what would be a good starting set up ? I think the main jets , HSAB and LSAB are about right , but the IFR needs to be lowered and also seems on the small side , but I really think the TS needs a restrictor , probably in the .080 to .082 range .

This is my boredom project until weather warms up ..... any suggestions /comments ?

There isn't another small hole drilled just below the main jet is there?

ojh , no hole drilled just below the main jet .

Mark .... near as I can measure with the baseplate on , the venturi starts out in about the 1.40" range just below the boosters and tapers out the butterfly diameter of 1.75" . It`s a straight taper .

Sounds like a machine 750 body to make a 950 out of it. Most of the stock 4150 Hollley stuff won't have t-slot restrictions, the baseplate t-slot sizes are usually good without them. I did find the street HP 650's with restrictions recently, first I had seen that way.

Thanks Mark ...... I guess I was confused by the emulsion choice of .038 on the bottom . I`ll measure the tyransition slots and get back on that .
