Strange fuel calibration on QFT 4700 - VP Q16 fuel

Mainly the jetting and power valve question. 1050 4500 Quick Fuel 4700 2 circuit dominator all black coated. Primary jets 94, secondary 96. In addition, primary has a power valve 3.5 hi flow. Why?

This is on a SBF 351 base 440" heads up grudge race in a Fox body Ford. Trick flow heads. 15:1 compression. nitrous, Q16. Never seen the car.

I questioned the jetting and the power valve even being used at all. Told leave that alone. Carb was built for this combination. I just ultrasonic cleaned and rebuilt with all new parts.

Here is rest of what's in this carb.

Air bleeds. Idle .053", Hi .038"

Idle restrictor .038". Hi position.

Transfer slot restrictor .066"

Emulsions .026", X, .026", x, .026"

Pump squirters .035" 50 CC pumps

Booster ID .166"

Angle channels, .160"

Needle and seats viton .120"

Power valve restrictors 2 x .073"

What do you guys think about all of this? Does Q16 require this set up?

For Q16 plug the PV, start with a 98 jet, .028 main air bleeds, and plug the bottom emulsion. That will get you started. Is it a QF 4700 body or a Holley HP body?

It is a true Quick Fuel main body, Mark. I really tried to get the OK to plug the PVC and square jet it, but owner wanted to go with what his engine guy said was made for this engine. I will pass on your suggestions. Thanks.
